The Quartermaster's Office
The Quartermaster Complex was constructed in 1910
The Quartermaster was responsible for all non-tactical operations of the Fort, including housing, clothing, feeding and transporting Army personnel. Also, all of the non-tactical buildings were built to Quartermaster standardized designs and maintained by Quartermaster personnel.
The buildings behind the Quartermaster's Office were supply storehouses for the Fort, which have been converted into private residences.
The Quartermaster's Office now houses the Fort McKinley Museum and Art Gallery, which offers exhibits detailing the history of the Fort and life at a Casco Bay military installation.
